Well...here we go again...I actually posted an explanation this afternoon, but it has mysteriously disappeared....or never got 'there' in the first place.
Anyhoo...basically the results are as follows; (these results excluded Brenton's votes, as it was inconclusive which order all his preferences were, although I put in his 'winner' choice)
INFOGNITO got 8 primary votes,
LYRICAL MIST got 6 primary votes,
FOGMATISM got 2 primary votes,
and FOGNITION, FOG GOGGLES and ALPINE ETHER all got 1 primary vote each
Regrettably FOGSCAPE was scratched early because it was not available!
SO INFOGNITO WINS....but wait...there's more!
It is not available because some dude nabbed INFOGNITO for his restaurant in January. I am still awaiting for a decision from Orble as to whether I can use it as a "dot net" name, for that is still available.
Otherwise LYRICAL MIST will win in the primary vote.
However, although I very much like both these entries, if we count up all the primary, secondary and tertiary votes, we get a slightly different picture;
with all three vote choices added together the positions are;
LYRICAL MIST and INFOGNITO tie with 10,
ALPINE ETHER next at 7,
FOG GOGGLES, FOGMATISM and FOGSCAPE all on 5.
FOGSTOMP on 4,
FOGNITION, FOGGY FHORTS and MEANDERMIST on 2
FOG FOUNTAIN on 1
So groovers...should LYRICAL MIST win?
maybe what I could do is, have some of the other names as secondary blog titles under the Domain Name winner?
Maybe I could use FOG GOGGLES for political and social stuff, and FOGSTOMP for rants, and ALPINE ETHER for weird and spooky stuff I ponder upon...and they are all within the domain site.....which may be INFOGNITO if I can have it as a 'dot net' site, or LYRICAL MIST, which sounds right for my poetry at least....

I wouldn't settle for second best. I'd reopen the competition if infognito.net falls through. Lyrical Mist would make a good category, but I don't think it's in the same class as infognito (as regards summing up what you're all about) It would make a great Poetry category though.
There's a few ways around this. Add a number to Infognito. Eg. 22/11 (the date Kennedy was shot [in Australian dating terms, as opposed to 11/22 in US terms],which has its reference point in 9/11. Infognito2211. Or Infognito911. Or Infognito.22 (using the calibre of the gun that shot Kennedy).
Other than that? Open up the comp again. I'd put in UnidentifiedFoggyObjects.

and yes I totally agree, if Infognito.net isn't available, I must re-open the contest...imagine that eh?
This could DRAAAg on for weeks.....dear...makes me depressed at the thought of it...but, must check all my email and see if I have heard back from Orble....
