BATTER

Whatever is the matter,
with being a bit fatter,
due to a penchant,
for deep fried batter?

Is the latter,
that is the batter,
really to blame?

Is it better,
to not batter,
and get a thrill,
by using a grill?

To some it's a sin,
to indulge in,
deep fried 'din'!

They'd rather,
let their hunger,
thaw on something raw!

But to me,
I feel better,
once I've had some batter,
because it fills me better,
and then,
I will not want any more!

Yeah, I think the emphasis on low-fat food is over-done....what's wrong with a bit of chocolate etc every now and again?

yes, it is a 'contrivance' of sorts, and of a particular genre...that being TOTAL DENIAL POETRY....sigh..

now I want a nice fresh serve of fish and chips...ok maybe no chips, but...two potato scallops, and prawns in beer batter, and calamari, and a dim sim....sigh...
