Should Anyone Care?
May 30th 2008 08:37
Should anyone care,
about the crush,
of culture foreign,
to ourselves?
Is it enough to say,
“oh dear, oh dear,
the children there!”,
then turn the page,
switch the channel,
a TV chef removing,
the howls of vowels,
of protest from,
our now drooling,
unprotesting mouths?
No!
I think not!
What of concern by,
clustering and blustering,
of stars and national egos,
who forego further censure;
of those who kill,
of those who maim,
of those who slowly,
perpetrate,
genocide?
Their barks loose bite,
their fangs decay,
as caustic complaints cause,
fears insinuated,
by under-breath threats;
loss of employment,
religious condemnation,
and social isolation.
Baying and bloodied,
broken and sullied,
do innocents scream silently,
embedded in TV screen.
Demands to silence,
remain undaunted,
yet un-enunciated,
all known, tacitly.
Mute we sit,
dumb we watch,
as limbs drawn asunder,
a hot metal thunder,
death rain for all;
the innocent,
and children,
all die,
alike.

QUOTE ME NO QUOTES!
maybe we will have to wait till "space aliens" arrive to stop the madness? As long as we are not 'on the menu' and the war mongers are!!
You are a good soul Raven.

QUOTE ME NO QUOTES!
trouble is, so few bother to see it, even when it is before their very eyes!

QUOTE ME NO QUOTES!
it is a picture that I wish I could never have found in reality, yet there it is, and ignored by the many, as though it was from a bad taste horror movie!
