NEW AMAZING ICE BERG PHOTOS!!
May 27th 2008 14:54
I have found some more amazing ice berg photos. These bergs range from blue striped, to a really bizarre 'glass' one, to an atmospheric etherial shot of a berg archway; it looks like the ghostly portal to another world, in fact, that is exactly what it is!
ENJOY!!

I think this clear ice berg is pure water, without salt or any other impurity, and no air bubbles.
This happens on a small scale, or as a vein running through a large white berg, as we have seen, but often that vein is varying shades of blue. This berg defies the imagination frankly, I rate it 'tops', along with that lolly striped one, which as it turns out, was real, and not photo shopped.
All these photos are also genuine, shot in Antarctica by Paul Ward, visit his site, Cool Antarctica, to see more of his work.

This berg is huge, it is the size of a ten story building, replete with diagonal blue stripes within it. How come, after all these decades of being down there, it is only this year that all these photos come out, showing these amazing bergs? Or have I just had my head in the sand?
Every doco I've seen, since a child, has never shown one, except they did show the deep blue of the glacier, just never the blue or green bergs.
I guess this is usually only witnessed by penguins and leopard seals, so we are merely in a coloured berg renaissance! A baroque berg biennale!

I would love to post more of them for everyone to see, but so far berg photographers are as tight as a fish's arsehole, they all want BIG money to use their photos!
Damn berg enthusiasts driving up the price...where is a 'Titanic' berg when you need one eh?
ENJOY!!
