Batman, A Psycho Killer and Financial Chicanery!
July 22nd 2012 18:19
These three things, (Batman, A Psycho Killer and Financial Chicanery), would normally seem unrelated, except most of the world now knows, sadly, that the film The Dark Knight Rises will be forever inextricably linked to a mass murder in a cinema. Police allege a poor loner lunatic, who wanted his moment of infamy, played out a bizarre role as The Joker, and allegedly shot to death 12 people in a cinema and injured over 50 others.
Yet, how is financial chicanery linked to all this?
I admit it is not a direct link, but there is one, none the less, for we live in “interesting times”, where those in power protect those in charge of our money, whose companies have robbed the public blind through excessive bank charges and bad financial deals, such as handing out home loans to people who cannot afford to pay them off, then on-selling these “toxic loans” to unsuspecting financial institutions, which then collapse when thousands of people default on their loan payments, resulting in the glut of repossessed properties becoming next to worthless.
This bizarre set of circumstances was brought about by the ludicrous situation our Western Capitalist system now finds itself in, that is, the demand for ever increasing profits every financial quarter. If companies, of all types, do not post a bigger profit than the previous quarter, then millions to billions can get wiped off their value by speculative shareholders.
This includes companies that make guns.
The National Rifle Association (of America) plays a big role in influencing both public opinion and the Senators that help set the laws. Don’t believe me? Check out their official site: NRA
Associations like the NRA are not to blame for gun deaths per se, for they are just supporting the many arms industries that need to make an ever increasing profit, which of course means employment for many people, but it also means they must continue to build profits by selling more and more guns to anybody and everybody.
However, the premise that profits can and must always increase, year in year out, is flawed and totally unsustainable.
The global financial crisis has proved this, yet, because too much power rests in too little hands, some of the companies who were responsible for creating and on-selling these toxic loans were then bailed out by the government, because the American Federal Reserve Bank said not to do so will cause the American financial markets to collapse, heralding a global depression.
It seems illogical, but it is proof of the power of the financial cabals, and today even more evidence was discovered of their power, when a study revealed $21 TRILLION has been hidden by the super wealthy from governments around the world in off shore accounts.
The Fed Reserve’s demand that the government bail out some of the very companies who caused the financial crisis, instead of arresting the culprits, was an unveiled threat. Bail them out, or the financial market crashes. It was the financial sector telling the government who was really in charge. So the government was forced to use public tax money to bail out a select financial cabal.
Amoral as it seems, what these financial institutions did was just a natural progression of a financial system that was allowed to self regulate itself, in other words, the fox was put in charge of the chicken coop. Once some people have a taste of big money and the influence it gives, they want more...and more....and more. Money and power can be as addictive as heroin and nicotine, possible more so.
All this is of no comfort to the poor families who lost their loved ones in that theatre this week, but, unless all Western economies stand up to the big financial bullies and put some of these bastards in gaol, and change the regulations to make them more accountable, and legislate to prevent destructive financial practises from ruining communities, these companies will continue to seek ever increasing profits at any cost, and we, the poor schmucks in the street, will continue to pay the price for the excesses of a financial system devoid of morals.

It's crazy being over here when something like this goes down. Gun lovers say that citizenry need to be armed because criminal will always get guns. The other side says that less guns mean less gun crime. Both sides are very passionate and vocal, though the pro crowd makes some incredibly naive leaps in logic considering I come from a country with strict gun laws and a much lower homicide rate....plus there is that whole vigilante justice thing.

I actually tried to talk sense to Michael Moore, via his facebook site, and was then attacked by numerous gun loving people. What was amazing, they all did not realize I was addressing points Moore put in an epistle sent out to his followers, (I am sort of one, not avidly however).
Anyway, none of these baboons understood the sense of my argument, that jobs and proper mental health care are the things that will help reduce violent deaths, by guns or otherwise, and that to allow people to buy full body armour, 6,000 rounds of ammo and pistols on the internet, then walk out of a store with a shotgun and a high powered semi automatic assault rifle is hardly sensible, in fact, it is totally insane!
None of these gun lovers could see the reality that their senators were being bribed to support arms manufacturers, who sell weapons, no matter what the cost to the public, just as long as they make an ever increasing profit.
Anyway, America's public have been hoodwinked, by the hoods in charge, for so long they no longer seem to understand they are the ones who live in a dictatorship!
Love America, love most Americans, but hate their social injustice and the hegemony of the corporate burgermeisters!
