Defense Minister MUST RESIGN NOW!!!

Federal Defence Minister Nelson, it was revealed on Four Corners last night, had scrapped the F11 on false pretences, committed this nation to buying a replacement that isn't built, and bought a stop-gap fighter experts say leaves Aussie security wide open to attack and definitely defeat, if war was declared!
The JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) ordered by the Federal Government is not due till 2013, yet industry analysts, in the USA , say we would be lucky to see it by 2018, and it is going to cost us billions of dollars, much more than we were told, and there is only one version of the fighter built to date, and it has MAJOR problems!!
So to cover Australia's air defence until the JSF is delivered, we are getting Boeing Super Hornets, which are regarded as old technology, that the US Navy wholly rejected years ago because it would not do the job required of it!!!!!!!
Our neighbours, China, Malaysia and Indonesia, have all bought a MUCH cheaper alternative to the Super Hornet, they bought the Russian Sukhoi 30MK, ready to go now, and in comparison to the Super Hornet, the Russian Sukhoi 30MK's are nearly twice as fast, carries a much bigger payload, flies nearly twice the ceiling, has a much longer range capability and can hit a target from 200 kilometers away, which is much, much further than the Super Hornet can strike...
To add insult to definite injury, the Russian fighter bombers are much cheaper than the Super Hornets and massively cheaper than the mythical JSF, much more manoverable, and stealthy. The Super Hornet is not stealthy at all!!!
Put bluntly, if we went to war with Indonesia, we would lose!
Federal Defence Minister Nelson should be made to resign forthwith.
This is either the greatest example of ministerial incompetence, or it is worse, political interference, whereby to please our allies, we are buying their discarded junk!
Add to this, the Sea King fiasco, where we are buying ten year old mothballed helicopter bodies from the USA, and they still fall out of the sky, and the utterly unspeakable incompetent disaster regarding the building of the Collins Class submarine fleet (which our buddies the Yanks told us during its first sea trial they could hear it in Hawwaii) and you have a Liberal Party led Australian Defence Force policy and its administration, that would, if war was declared, deliver us almost unopposed into the hands of the enemy.
No wonder Asia takes no notice of Australia anymore!
No wonder Indonesia blows up our citizens, shoots dead our journalists, and nothing is said or done about it, and now we know why!
Because we CAN'T do anything about it!
These MORONS in power, Howard and his Liberal Party, have systematically allowed foreign business to control our economy, and our Defence Forces to be neutered.

You may be right with the armchair chardonnay decision making processes of Nelson, but I fear it is worse than that.
I fear he was told by the USA to buy these rejected craft as a favour, like spending billions on the JSF, when we could get something working now and much cheaper!
We apparently asked the USA for the TOMCAT, but they denied us, saying no one gets their most advanced fighter....err...except Japan it seems recently!
Whatever this moron Nelson's reasons for his incompetence, he must go!
