End of the World...only 1,816 shopping days before Last Christmas!!!

July 19th 2007 16:28
Damn the Mayans and their dreadful, utterly inconvenient, calender!

2012...KAPUT!!!!! [/B]

Some Mayan afficianadoes put it even more exactly, December the 20th...or 22nd..or 23rd? But all agree it is in this week of December, 2012, when, just before Christmas, WHAMMO!!!

ONLY 1,816 DAYS LEFT BEFORE CHRISTMAS [/

....or the end of it all!!!

Well, many Muslims and even some Jews would probably be glad to see the back of Christmas, but what a price to pay to be rid of it!!!???!!!!

Why then?
Why did I have to be born in this end of age doomsday scenario?
Why can't it be 12,012???
Maybe a piece of rock fell off the Mayan calendar and instead of 12,012, it became 2012....why not???

Some say it is not the extermination of mankind, but merely an awakening of spiritual/psychic consciousness...I prefer that one actually...and that it heralds in a millennium of peace.

YEAH BABY!!!

And not before time, since we have just lived through a few millennia of war!

But, is it so? And, in the wonderful spirit of Sumner Millar, "Why is it so?"

Others believe our end is brought about by a cataclysmic collision with a rogue asteroid.

Not a bad theory, since we have been hit many times before, and have had LOTS of 'near misses'...even relatively recently...just ask our pal CarlCan, from the Astro Earth blog!

Then there is the other 'rogue',
PLANET X!!!!
Well, it makes a great headline doesn't it? A real Doctor Who meets Godzilla story!!
Lets hope this isn't the answer either...not pretty!!

Actually, I may have another scenario that would explain an end of world concept, that is, Hapgood's Theory; published in 1958, it involves the electromagnetic field of the earth and the swapping of the poles (north goes south, and south goes north) and the monumental sudden and catastrophic global movement of the crustal plates.

Sorry...if you were hoping it was going to be 'nicer' than the others...[
B] WRONG!!!!!

Scientists have agree that the pole shift is true, and have been studying this gradual shift since the 1970's, yes, it is happening as I type!. Officially they all say it is a gentle experience and no one will know, except your compass will not work properly at one point, as the poles mix together around the equator.

However, Hapgood's theory differs with current public scientific opinion on a major point. He states that the energy differential between that inside the Earth and that which extends out from each pole, will finally reach a point when, just like a kid over-winding a wind up toy,

, SNAP!

The energy build up inside the Earth spins the crust above.
I said you were not going to like it!

The spring uncoils in an instant! The crust spins on the magma...so if it happens NOW...the next word I typed would have been in Siberia, for instance.

There is corroborating physical evidence; namely, the snap frozen woolly mammoth, which Russian scientists proved were eating buttercups, or some such, at the time of instant death and freezing...buttercups do not grow in good old permafrost soil (soil frozen solid to a depth of 80 feet, all year round!).

The mammoth, Hapgood also proved, has hollow core hair covering his body, just like the orang utan, which lives in tropical environs. If the mammoth had solid core hair, like the polar bear, you would expect such insulating hair to be found on an artic animal.
Hollow core hair is found on animals living in warm climates, because it disperses heat, instead of insulating heat in, to keep a cold climate animal warm.

Anyway, put it this way, it will be murderously quick, if it happens.

However, for the doubting Thomases; did anyone of note read Hapgood's theory (finally published in 1958, "The Earth's Shifting Crust") and pondered and challenged its veracity? Did anyone of unquestioned international repute assist him in developing this theory?
Yes, actually, and he wrote a forward to the book, (written in 1955 before his death)
stating Hapgood's theory held weight;
[Bnone other than,
Albert Einstein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/B]

In earlier correspondance with Hapgood, Einstein wrote;

"I find your arguments very impressive and have the impression that your hypothesis is correct. One can hardly doubt that significant shifts of the crust have taken place repeatedly and within a short time."

It seems it has all happened before, and many times, so I guess it could be 2012....some abductees believe the end is when the "Masters of the Stars" finally take over and reassert 'peace upon mankind'....whatever that really means... sounds a bit 'war of the worlds-ish' to me!

Interestingly, in 1989 to 1991 apprx, (near those dates) thousands of people in townships in Mexico watched, and videoed, as 'the Masters of the Stars" hovered in plain sight, in daylight, some for two hours at a time, low over the cities, and it was shown on TV there.

The world press steadfastly ignored it. But that was not what was really interesting, for there was a prophecy that the "Masters of the Stars" would return, when the "sleeping soldier awakes", and I am not sure, but I think it is referred to by the Maya.

Some researchers discovered that the name of a volcano, which erupted at the same time many people saw UFOs hovering near it, (translated from the early old language), means

"Sleeping Soldier"!!!!

Spooky huh?

LAY AWAY?? Oh I guess that is America's layby? But, do you get the goods BEFORE you pay it off?
I wanna go on an extended holiday in the months before December 20 2012, if I am still here, just in case!!!!

I may try to find something more funny and less scary/weird/funny for the next post....or should I give up and start a site for all things weird and scary???
