First Bud
July 22nd 2007 17:29
the camellia cannons its,
first bud blooming,
a ruby floral jewel,
the harbinger,
of hundreds hence.
This crimson solitaire,
begins the budding crown,
once burst all forth,
a riot colour tiara,
adorns the lawn,
misty and forlorn.
This regal petal pageant,
dispels gloomy mood,
woven by winter's,
dullard drab garb.
Sungold, copper and flamme`,
skeletal leaves,
fallen from boney trees,
then wind-swept away,
herald the camellia's royal,
winter garden investiture!

( note: flamme` is pronounced flommah )

Sensational stuff, it really challenges my brain, bit better than Nintendo perhaps.
You're imagery is amazing.

Infognito
it was a moment captured yesterday morning, looking out from the kitchen table, pondering over the death of my neighbour, who was found Sunday morning, (sitting slumped at his kitchen table I found out today), sad, he was blind too, and lonely as his wife died last year, I wrote a poem about it, none too uplifting, but at least acknowledgement of his existance, and my guilt about not befriending him, I will post it today.
Right now, I suppose I identify more with the faded type of floral tribute, once colourful, now dusty, once feted, now discarded...sigh....
