Mists swirling, within one's mind, gather and dissipate; moments flicker, into spams of fear, then abate again, for hatred inflicted, bears the cancer, of another's soul. That Damnable Day

November 23rd 2010 12:52
the fence on the grassy knoll

Forty seven years ago, the President of the United States of America was assassinated. President John F. Kennedy became another victim of politics in America. He was not the first President murdered.

One hopes he will have been the last.

the moment of infamy

That Damnable day;
when the bald eagle's blood,
fountain flooded and stained,
dress, seat, suit, and nation!

Fenced away,
from idol’s smiling gaze,
a cabal forged badge played,
a dire rifled dirge.

Bullets burst,
in rapid formation,
blasting everlasting,
democratic notion.

Shrapnel sharply,
shard mercury shattered,
Camelot's stellar Sun,
permanently eclipsed.

The cowled collegiate,
protects its perfidy,
in clouds of calumny.

Lo! Hail! Orion!
A deadly orison,
the apostates’ pleasure,
by Rubeus attack,
renders your mouth silent.

That's a great poem. Kennedy's assassination was really something that strikes out in American history. It was an Obamanation- er abomination/

Hi Joe,
thanks for dropping by and commenting!

Yes, the JFK thang was a blot on the very soul of America, and it was so unfair, for it was not representative of what is great and good about her.

The same for Martin Luther King, I remember that news bulletin so well, I was a young boy, and I cried, he was a powerful soul that man.

And then the cabal murdered Robert Kennedy, then in recent times, John Kennedy junior, (killed a few months after he announced he was running for office) whom I highly suspect fell foul of the same 'machine' that took his father's and uncle's lives.

cheers and tanx for the comp!
