Haters: Fear and Loathing

Haters, of all persuasions, are not the most attractive people on the planet. However, they do have certain interesting aspects to them psychologically, well, probably only if you are into forensic psychiatric pathology, then they can command a limited amount of interest. But not for too long, as generally they prove, by their own arguments and justifications, that they have a very low brow unstimulating intellect!
They come from all economic classes and faiths, but only a rare few are 'brave enough' to come clean and say what they really think. However, of this type of hater, they usually join a group, so they can blend in the background, to ease the burden on their courage, which would surely be heavily taxed to breaking point, should they try to stand alone and say what they truly think.
As for those that join groups, the world community likes to lambaste them, for instance, the neo-nazi groups. In this particular instance it is easy to understand why, for most people do not want to see a "Fourth Reich" rear its ugly head again. However, while trying to protect society at large, from the rise of another facist regime, at the same time, under everyone's noses, governments and big corporations around the world are eroding everyone's rights, decreasing their level of living standards and increasing State powers to levels Hitler would have approved of!
There is some irony in this.
As much as I loathe nazism, and find the neo-nazi groups as pathetic, and laughable, as they are repugnant, I have to admit I have a small (very small) but begrudging admiration for their honesty. They do not try and hide behind any façade of respectability, they tell it as they really see it. If they hate you and your 'type', they will tell you, with psychopathic glee!
However, there is another sub-group of haters that lack the zeal and courage of those 'brothers in hate', the brazen neo-nazi morons. This sub-group is populated by furtive and craven egos, so cowardly, that they have to hide their true natures behind walls of 'niceness' and general 'acceptance of others' and pretend to 'like' you, and pretend to be 'concerned' and 'interested' in your wellbeing, they will even go to the extreme of replying to a post agreeing, and sympathising, with your particular purview of the world at large.
But then, at some point, they must let out what gnaws inside of them. For all this expression of open social acceptance, this egalitarian nature, that they have insincerely professed to possess, creates a terrible internal conflict, which almost assumes the form of a demonic spiritual possession so strong, that they feel the urge to exorcise it, to rid their contaminated selves of these annoying social justice poltergeists.
But how do they do it? How does a pathetically craven twisted ego rid itself of these 'demons'?
They use a few methods actually.
In browsing Orble, for instance, I have noticed that "God" is definitely a favourite choice, as they can quote Bible text to support their viewpoint. It does not matter to them that the Christian Bible, for the most part a good source of moral guidance for everyone, is a contaminated text that has been re-written, time and time again, over the ages.
Each re-interpretation, from whichever source material thought fit at the time, (which were in themsleves re-interpretations and numerous) was interpreted to suit the social mores of the time, and not to get a more truthful or honest interpretation.
Then, to add insult to injury, these religious sociopaths of today will quote it out of context, while relying on something that has been translated over the centuries from the Aramaic to the Greek, to the Latin, to the English, which was then re-interpreted numerous times again, by many different Christian splinter groups, and it is this diluted and inaccurate text, that they clutch to their hearts, as the actual and original quoted “Word of God”, in order to justify their hatred of all that they fear and do not understand.
There is another way for the hater to release his/her demons.
This group hides behind quasi-intellectual self professed ‘objective research' and 'analysis'.
They pretend to be seriously investigating and questioning the nature of things, such as homosexuality. None of what I have read, here on Orble in particular, would pass muster at a truly objective ecumenical theological level, nor would it be accepted at a government high school, certainly not at university level, as the proponents of this bigoted hate filled twaddle, in order to attempt to find some justification for their ugly statements, cherry pick information, quote out of context, misquote, distort, generalise and totally invent facts and figures, to further their twisted little agendas.
Lastly, there is another way the bigoted craven fool can hide.
Humour!
They will claim they are not really bigots, because they are just indulging in 'satire', or being playfully sarcastic, or playing the 'devil's advocate', in order to draw attention to the plight of gays, or women who must suffer the trauma of abortion, or whatever their pet hate is that day, they will pretend they are really being so over the top, it can't be taken seriously.
Trouble is, not everyone is so dumb that they do not see through their petty and paltry attempts to hide their hatred, their fear and loathing, often which is mere projection of the suppressed inner fears that they silently carry about themselves.
However, these people are just a little too lacking, in the acumen department, to get away with it.
These sorts of people are often the epitome of irony, in that, when they profess to follow the word of Jesus, for instance, or Allah, they conveniently forget the fundamental basis of the teachings of those great spiritual prophets, which are; tolerance and love.
Frankly, I do not loathe or hate any of these types, for they are severely psychologically damaged people, who deserve some sympathy and understanding because of that fact, who definitely need psychiatric treatment, in order to gain a more balanced and accepting perspective of humanity, for attaining that, will release them from a world of internal pain and torment, and lessen the suffering of those they like to persecute.
Am I then so egalitarian that I can “turn the other cheek”, no matter the circumstance?
No, of course not!
However, I try to use my verbal sword, of rapier wit, in a just way, to stand up against those who love to repress and marginalise.
I reserve my undiluted hatred; revulsion, bile, vitriol and loathing for a particular type of person; one that is in a position of power, who uses it for their own monetary, social and political gain, who abuses humanitarian rights, while pretending to be ruling his people within the boundaries of International Law and the Conventions as established by the United Nations, all the while committing atrocities and other acts of barbarism and illegality, expected of psychopathic despots.
Who for instance?

And there are great many others, a lot closer to home!

As for the Bible, I admit I could have listed all the versions, all the disputes with interpretation of language and customs, etc, but there just was not enough time in the day, but, I should do that in another post.

The 'middle way', is always best, allowing some tolerance and prudence, while still conveying the truth, in a constructive way of course.
Extremes are just wrong, no matter which end of the scale one is, I agree with that too, however temporary, and cathartically satisfying, pulling out all the stops at one's perceived foe may be.
umm.. maybe that is what I just did with this post? DUH!!
However, I choose to grasp for an age old defense, 'I am but human' and hopefully more humane than anything else!

Brilliant post. Really well thought out, logical and rational (and about a topic that doesn't usually inspire rationality.......that gets extra points!).
I'm with you, I actually have to admit to the tiniest speck of respect for haters who at least are upfront enough to admit their bigotry rather than hide behind a front.
I really like the point you made in the comment to Michaelie above. Extreme's are generally dangerous. I too like to try a middle road. I've found a lot more tolerance and respect there than you'll ever get from extremists from either end of the spectrum.
And yes, you're absolutely right......Robert Mugabe is heinous

you are dead right about that, I remember seeing a TV show, (just can't grab what it was, American...umm 70s I think...an interview type show...dammit..)
anyhoo, it covered parental influence of their children, and one "buzz cut" Mid West corn fed looking chap was asked to demonstarte what he had taught his baby, who was just talking, so a toddler;
Daddy: Go on sweetheart, point out the nigger!"
After a couple of promptings by the proud father, the baby then pointed to the black man across from them.
It was such a dreadful and depressing moment, I can't express how low my soul sank when I witnessed that moment.
To his credit, the host then commmented, loaded with sarcastic intonation;
"How to make a father proud.."
Bigotry is just ignorance, but when inground and reinforced in a communtiy, it beocmes hate, and that hate eventually turns into violence, initially by way of ostracisio, then verbal, then physical.
The human race really is a disgrace.
I should post a little poem I wrote years ago, about this topic, short and minimalist in form, but pithy..

Mugabe's tolerated presence says a lot about the attitudes, agendas, and true moral fibre of the surrounding nations, and the almost eunuch like ability of the UN to create a solution!
The UN has a Security Council, but, all members must agree for anything to be done, what a farce!
It depresses me greatly..
