Obama snubs Oz!

President Obama
The President of the United States of America, President Obama, has had his office issue a statement claiming he cannot come to Australia for a visit longer than (less than) 24 hours, as he is still battling the Senate and his public health bill.
Fair enough, go for it Prez, I first thought. But then, I found out it is only Australia who has had his visit cut short.
First we heard that his gorgeous wife and kiddies were not coming, a huge disappointment for many, now he is just dropping in for one speech and flying out again within hours.
The other nation on the presidential visitation list is Indonesia. No cuts to his visit there, he is still spending three days in Indonesia, no doubt to catch up with old friends, since he schooled there when young, but why else is Indonesia getting such preferential treatment?
How can it be, that the leader of the 'free world' (yes, it is free only in title, we all know that by now) is deciding to reward a country that is listed with the United Nations for its long term human rights abuses, not the least of which has been the alleged whole sale murder of 250,000 West Papuans, then there is the dirty business in East Timor.
So, now I am left confused. I was delighted with Obama's election, I unashamedly cried at his inauguration, and still have it on tape. The whole world was relieved that the USA had finally earned its title, "United", we all listened to his smooth and soothing oratory, we all believed him
But, now the shine is coming away from those glittering early days, the silken oratory is starting to seem more like political rhetoric; promises are not being kept, or are far diluted from what was expected, the war expands in legion and casualties, less in Iraq, but more in Afghanistan. Nothing has been done to make Cheney, Rumsfeld et al, face up to the lies, crimes and corruption that were rampant under those sullied days of Bush rule.
Nothing is being said about the lies of 911, nothing; in fact Obama's administration is giving those fraudulent findings, from the heavily restricted and censored investigation, credence by its silence on the matters, creating what appears to be a tacit agreement, with the erroneous findings, which completely ignore the facts, and basic physics, thereby allowing the fantasy finding that the box cutter toting Arabs were entirely to blame, and that a heavy jet mysteriously disintegrated on impact with the Pentagon building, leaving hardly a trace, no shoes, or bags, or bodies, the huge engines disappearing without hitting the outside of the building; we were told the fire burnt them all, really? Well, that is a physical impossibility, as any funeral director would tell you, and they use furnaces built to burn bodies, always the skeleton is left, hence the ashes the mourners collect.
Interesting that, even I can find out that several of those alleged 'terrorists' on 9/11 are still alive, two of them were even working in the airline industry in Saudi Arabia years after the attack, according to the press in Europe.
So, what is the truth in all of this? Where are the seekers of truth, the adversaries of infamy, like Woodward and Bernstein were in the Watergate scandal?
What has happened to our precious and fragile form of democracy?
What has happened to the freedom of the press and the division of powers?
WHY DOESN’T ANYONE SEEM TO CARE ANYMORE?
