'Business' as usual...?

Obama, the new Prez, has decided to go against his pre-election promise to have all the evidence regarding torture chamber sites, such as photos, released.
Now I am really getting concerned. First he prevents any further investigation of the torturers, and who ordered them to do it, allowing them to get away unpunished, or at least dealt with in some way, and now he is censoring the release of new photos that have been discovered.
It is said that the new photos are nothing new, they do not warrant a new investigation etc etc.
Well, if that is the case, what is the problem with releasing them?
Has Obama been compromised someway?
Is he doing this with full knowledge and aforethought?
Is Obama merely a man of smoke and mirrors, with huge strings attached, and he is just a marionette of the industrial military power bases, who hold his strings?
What should all those who want the USA to once again stand in the full light of freedom and bask in the glow of appreciation from her nation friends, to be regarded anew, with some respect, by those who have attacked and belittled her in the past, or been the object of her oppression, economically and/or militarily, what should all those people think now?
Has the new golden dream, of being free of the manipulators and desecrators of democracy, been turned into a new nightmare, one that masquerades as fair, reasonable, peaceful and respectful to the values of democracy, but in reality, is merely a shell game, being played out on a deluded public?
I hope I am wrong, GOD do I hope that. I want to see Obama change the USA, and therefore the world, for the better, not follow his predecessors and make it worse.

i think he scrapped the plan to indict Bush and Cheney for war crimes because they did a poll and it was unpopular with the people (well 55% unpopular or some such thing)

polls.. just depends where they take them.. the big nasty 'machine' that lurks behind the throne, so to speak, could easily have skewed that poll.
The amount of people who hated and mistrusted both Bush and Cheney et al, was huge, hence Obama getting in.
They must have taken the poll in a Republican state.
It disgusts me that the whole agenda of the Presidency is still being hijacked by these criminals, for that is what they are, nothing less.

No one form Orble said anything, they just dumped her, kept all her work on the site, and she cannot log on, and someone called jake5 is doing it!
This has happened because she went with the basic contract Orble offers everyone, I refused that, and asked for control of copyright over my own work, which they gave me thankfully.
What is your situation regarding copyright Morgan?

no it isn't a formality, but a legal reality. Orble told me they would not stop me from publishing anything I wrote on Orble, but that assurance was not good enough for me, particularly since I had acted as an agent for an author and negotiated the book contract with the publisher, they ONLY deal with the copyright owner or their representative, full stop.
It matters not for a lot of folks here, as it is purely a pasttime, however, some of us may/will hone work here, for it to be published elsewhere.
If you have not already agreed to keep copyright, then the contract you agreed to on Orble gives it to them. You can always enquire with them.
I posted on this months ago, but it was totally ignored by fellow members, maybe because somehow the notification of me posting was turned off....

i think (esp for creative writers) it is a really good idea to retain your copyright and know your rights
