Orble Problems Anyone?

Yes, it is me. I have had pooter trouble and am presently battling to type as my centenarian pugface monster tries to attack a small dog who dared wander into the net cafe where I have been forced to get online.
So, this is brief....
and just to make sure my blog isn't given away or sent to the dead zone because I have not posted for awhile.
I have read a number of comments on my writers forum inquiry, regarding disappearing comments, that it in not just me this has happened to.
And poor Luke has had problems getting back to his blogs.
So, what is up with Orble?
If the owners of Orble, On Topic Media, think that this lack of care will sustain the site and its community, they are wrong. It definitely does not resemble the site I first joined anymore, the flame wars aside, I think this is a dumb move, to let things slide like this, and it is not Jon's fault obviously, as he is limited in time and what he can do.
maybe we should all write a collective letter to the owners, after we agree on what should be put before them?
Who agrees and what suggestions do you have for the Orble owners?

sorry you are having problems, i know it is frustrating when it takes a long time to get a response from Admin
in Lukes case, maybe he should try doing a Password Reset? i think nearly every member has had to at some point because there was a little glich in the system a few months back
as for disappearing comments, the explanation Jon usually gives is that he removes things that are considered "spammy", like links to spammy sites, and excessive "link farms" . . . he does this to maintain Orbles high search engine ranking
i dont know if this is what has happened in your case, and i dont know exactly what constitutes being "spammy"
feedback i have had from other users is that they would like to be informed by email when something is removed, with an explanation as to why
i think that is a reasonable request which may increase user satisfaction

Anonymous Comments
The excuse I was given was that the comments were "spammy" but that just doesn't seem to explain it for me. It seems that anonymous comments go through all of the time for some people. Why would innocent comments that pertain directly to the content of the post they are attached to be targeted as spam??
I guess I should specify that when I say "anonymous" I am referring to out side of Orble commenters. Sometimes they add their names, but they don't have an Orble blog.
Legitimate readers of mine have flat out told me that they're not even going to try to comment on my posts any more, because their comments are always deleted. I've had readers get angry with me and ask me why I delete their comments. I've had to assure them that it isn't me. It's embarrassing.
If it is an issue of "spam" than I think Orble has a wonky spam filter.
I'm frustrated too. I've gotten a few anonymous comments that I wish HAD been filtered, alas, they come right through.

it wasn't spam at all.. no link that I remmeber, and just a short comment about the review, all very tame.
so, dunno... but I am used to Jon not answering that forum site now, that pisses me off too!

Sorry to hear you have had this problem, and the fatc that it is continuing, I would send Jon a private message and demand something is done to rectify it! That is utter rubbish, what's happening to you.
