ORBLE WORLD EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW!!!

March 11th 2008 16:57
Well, after a concerted effort tonight, I finished writing my song...then re-edited it..and changed a lot of it again...and expect once my collaborator gets it, he will want changes made also, but that's show biz!

The title of my song is...IN THE DOGHOUSE!!

And, an ORBLE WORLD EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW of the first stanza and chorus....drum roll...

I gotta be a snag,
to sympathise,
with my handbag,
or I'm in the kennel,
with the dachshund,

down not dirty,
livin' like my doggie!

CHORUS: female trio: (soprano, alto and contralto)

Dachshund love,
dachshund love,
wet puppy eyes,
wet puppy cries,
his missin' his girl,
down in the doghouse!

So, that's all you get right now...

So waddyathunk???

Do you think it'll be a HOWLIN' success???
Will the critics be PANTING and the fans DROOLIN' for more????

Ok, so enough already! It is silly and I make fun of myself, so who cares!!

Do you think I could have a tune please fog, that could make the world of difference, it seems to lack a little something, doesn't this create divisions between the sexes?

Hi Michaelie,
tee hee...a bit naughty of me I know...but later on in the song, you will understand that even though he is an oaf, he learns from his mistakes, and doesn't want to lose his girl, who forgives him, and he is happy...and sober!

It is a bit wet, I know, but most songs are!

My inspiration became the footballers and their drunken antics!

cheers

Hi katyzzz,
well the tune is up to my collaborator, who is the musician, so you will have to wait for the finished product.

And no, it isn't a divisive song at all, (see my response to Michaelie), it is illustrating the antics of drunken footy players and the regret they feel after the booze has gone, and the realization they hurt their spouses, and they become good boys again!

cheers

Hi Trace,
well..fancy seeing you here!!

As for me singing on TV, no, that will NEVER happen! Unless they make a programme about people who look like blubbery animals who have a song to sing!

cheers

Aw, that's a pity, Fog. For some reason I regressed into my teenage years in the UK and had visions of you and Stella on Top of the Pops...ah well!!

Keep up the writing!!

Fog,

How about a few chords to give me an idea of where this is going in melody ... I love where the lyrics have taken me ((laughs)) ... perhaps a notation of the beat would be useful too... so I can strum it on my guitar and work out some harmonies for those female backgrounders.

You know what they say about sending your man to the dog house, don't you?

Love it!

Lilla ...

Hi Trace de Face!

Well yes, it is indeed a pity, but you NEVER KNOW!! With all the 'greening' of the world going on, they just might want to create programmes where the participants look like wildlife, in my case, a dugong!

cheers

Hi lilla,

actually, no, I don;t knwo what they say about sending one's amn to the dog house...do tell!!!!!

As for the melody, you will have to wait, for my writing partner lives far away In Darwin, and as of yesterday, I think, he still hadn't received the lyrics!

Even though I had posted them 'over night'....I want my five doollars back!

So, when I get the melody, and see what my composer pal thinks of it all, maybe then...you never know, i didn;t knwo you could write music...hmmm...this is an interesting proosition!!

cheers and I'll keep you posted!!
