A Fleeting Flick
March 7th 2011 15:28
A fleeting flick,
of shadow eyed,
a darting pass,
before footfall.
A furry flurry,
blacken bristled,
a path crossed,
caterpillar primordial.
Harbinger herald from,
labyrinth cerebral,
or courtier corporeal,
other dimensional?
What realm...what abyss...,
what universe...,
what quantum state,
these denizens do dwell?
Neither threat nor friend,
they bustle by,
their size decided,
by anguish, within.
All souls quiver,
at precipice step, yet,
some happenstance,
or synchronicity,
bars from final fall;
that enfolding never-sight,
that quiet place,
of soft forlorn lawn,
bathed in glimmer-light,
of life bygone.
of shadow eyed,
a darting pass,
before footfall.
A furry flurry,
blacken bristled,
a path crossed,
caterpillar primordial.
Harbinger herald from,
labyrinth cerebral,
or courtier corporeal,
other dimensional?
What realm...what abyss...,
what universe...,
what quantum state,
these denizens do dwell?
Neither threat nor friend,
they bustle by,
their size decided,
by anguish, within.
All souls quiver,
at precipice step, yet,
some happenstance,
or synchronicity,
bars from final fall;
that enfolding never-sight,
that quiet place,
of soft forlorn lawn,
bathed in glimmer-light,
of life bygone.
