Midst Peace Ruinous
July 1st 2008 07:56
Midst peace ruinous,
man sand castles storm;
billowing and bellowing,
by unrelenting sons.
Their blaze of eye beating,
down upon doleful doves;
haranguing and harassing,
are hawks in both courts,
promulgating dogma unpopular,
with public opinion foreign.
Roadmaps shredded by shrapnel,
melting the moral mettle,
for peaceway pathways,
detonating detente.
Faith flags fluttering and blustering,
rocket human traffic collisions,
down bloodied God highways,
to sacrificial roundabouts.
Salvos of salutary salutes,
smother and puncture,
a peace crowned by the thorns,
of all their sordid lies.

QUOTE ME NO QUOTES!
my one and ONLY admirer!!
It is interesting to me, that when I post some nonsense, I get lots of attention and replies, when I post something confronting, hardly a soul utters a word.
Makes me think of the days of the Reich, and how so many kept their mouths shut then too.... and yes, I well understand the ironic nature of my comparison, as would so many living in that nightmare in the Middle East, on both sides of the fence.
Lets just pray they do find a lasting peace and begin to respect each other's right to exist.
cheers
