Ode to Tracy

Ode to Tracy
Trace de face was,
always on the pace,
with groovy movies,
and the life of things.
Silent trouble bubbled,
she unaware her,
Orble bauble had burst;
one pop,
and you're gone!
Nary a word said;
no one can hear you scream,
in internet space.
A vacuum filled,
her place overtaken,
yet her work remains,
sited, but reattributed.
Another one now enjoys,
fruits of all her labour,
no fault of his,
but now I ask,
where are the gallant?
Where are the shining knights,
who tall proudly stand,
who throw the cape,
allowing the deserving,
to safely enter,
and recover,
what rightfully is theirs?
Her Orble bauble burst,
soundless it broke,
her access beheaded;
nary a word,
in explanation,
or support,
said.
The above ode, (unedited and hastily written as it is), is my way of protesting about what has happened to Tracy, of Movies and Life fame, and to plead with Orble that, they give her blog domain back to her, and have her access to Orble fully re-instated.

It does look like a serious situation, but I think what we must do now is wait for a response from Jon. What we want to hear is that the situation with Tracy, according to the facts known at this time, is wrong and will be put right.

She really needs our support right now, particularly since no one knows what on earth is going on.
She has been treated rather shabbily to my mind, which is all I can conclude, until Jon makes a public statement regarding what has gone wrong with her site etc.

I loved your heartfelt plea and I have to add my voice to the chorus on this one, on the shabbiness of treatment. It seems to me a grave injustice has taken place that I am sure none of us would want to happen to us either if we were inapporpriated for a while and unable to post.
I remember a time when i was so busy i couldn*t post and was contacted by orble admin as to my intentions with the post in question. I conveyed my difficulties of the time, which were graciously accepted and was soon posting away again like a happy little orbler that i am.
The question however, remains, is this a misunderstnading and not a change in Orble policy, and will it spell the end of it for many more as the exodus continues? I agree with Chris, that we wait for Jon*s response; hopefully Tracy be reinstated on her own blog and the new fellow marched off to his own ~ as you say, through no failt of his own ~ and with no hard feelings (least of all from him as I gather him a nice fellow from his words of surprise).
Maybe a wake up call to us all, or is it another viable subject for an orble forum debate on whether admin should contact the blog moderator before reassigning the post, say after one month of no posting, or should each blog moderator be the one who is responsible to notify roble admin that they will be off the air for a little while?
I don*t care either way, but do feel that an injustice has occurred here albeit through misunderstanding perhaps of this policy it not being clearly stated and/or enforced?
I await the outcome and again applaud your aplomb! (and talent) ...

Where is Jon in all this?
Potentially it has grave repercussions for Orble, as a number of good writers with successful blogs are planning to leave.

Thank-you so much for the poem and support. I love the poem, Fogger.
I wasn't able to reply earlier as my keyboard is only working intermittently. I can type for a while and then it stops!
I'm just going to wait and see what happens, I can understand that Jon/Orble often can't reply immediately but when my posts on the Writers Forum didn't appear I was even more frustrated and upset.
I'm hoping it's a situation that can be rectified. I'm just going to wait. I've no gripe with the new owner, I imagine this is unpleasnat for him too.

Yes, fingers crossed with Movies and Life. I know it's not a nice situation for the new guy, I've read some of his reviews and his stuff seems interesting. But it was all a technical error that I hope can be remedied.
