VOTERS EGO BLOATERS

And so, it has started..the big count up..the recording of votes upon the wall charts..but is it honest? Are our votes properly protected? Or are we just being conned? If Labor wins, will that ONLY be so, because Rudd did NOT promise to control big business and banks, and make them more accountable, more socially responsible, more caring about the low income workers and pensioners?
Time will tell...and that hour is quickly drawing upon us all in Oz!
And let us hope some sanity is restored to our Federal Government, by the removal of the Liberal Party, and that the days of Australia being an illegal invader of other lands quickly becomes a thing of the past.
After this is done, we might be able to repair our damaged international relations, and once again hold our heads high and enjoy the mutual respect we once shared, particularly with the peoples of the Middle East , whom learned to respect our soldiers because of their fairness and cheer, their friendliness and assistance, in the face of terrible adversity during WW1 and WW2.
Australian soldiers were not arrogant, they were not snobs, they did not regard the Middle Eastern populations with contempt, nor did they consider their culture below them in social stature. That is how we earned their respect. And that is what we have lost under the Howard Government.
May we learn from these awful mistakes.

yes indeed, I hope and pray the good ole USA comes to its senses, and throws out the corporate villains who have steered her off the right path the last decade or so.
You are of an age Ravin (and pardon my presumption!) where you would have seen your great country fall from 'saviour' to 'devil', in regards to its international reputation.
The ideal of global corporate control can seem attractive, especially if you are from those countries with the big company players, but in the end, it means screwing the battler, the little guy, to line their own greedy pockets.
We both know, there are still a large group of people in the States who want their government to be accountable for its actions, and responsible for all its citizens; ethically, medically and legally.
May the "gods" bring this to be so, in Britain and here in Oz too!
