Etymology
Purse:
(OxFog Longer Winded Dictionary): being a bag for holding personal items, particularly lipstick and money, (they always go so well together, and these days, even men have purses and lipstick, albeit a clear moisturising type of lipstick...you straight guys, a few years ago you would have bashed a guy to death for wearing lippy and holding a handbag, now look at you!

Budgie Smugglers is an Aussie coined slang word, originally for describing Speedo swimsuits, now it applies generically for all 'body revealing' swimsuits. The reason, use your imagination!! Speedos were originally an Aussie company, till bought out some years back by overseas concerns, like everything else we invented in Oz...sigh
