The Zimbabwe Situation
January 23rd 2009 06:51
I have found an interesting site, that collates all the news it can, on a daily basis, about Zimbabwe and what is going on there, it is worth a look. Also, I trust you will enjoy my humorously creative photo/digital cartoon and my usual acerbic political comment! Please find following a link to the information site, The Zimbabe Situation: LINK
While ignoring the terrible humanitarian crisis in his country, Mugabe is trying to wriggle out of the democratic process again, as if anyone ever doubted he would...
So we, as caring humane people, who believe that human rights apply to everyone, need to send to our members of Parliament, (or your Senator (USA) ), a message of protest regarding the lack of appropriate international action, and demand that Mugabe be removed from office, all of the stolen money in Swiss bank accounts seized and used to help the suffering in Zimbabwe.
Up until now, our inaction has allowed this liar and dictator Mugabe to get away with his crimes against humanity.
The cholera crisis is deepening every day, and either the international press have become numb to it, or they are too preoccupied with sports news for profit.
WRITE TO YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPERS!
Demand your government takes a serious interest and does something to help the people of Zimbabwe, please!

Geneva - The cholera death toll in Zimbabwe is approaching 2 500, according
to World Health Organisation statistics published on Thursday.
A total of 2 495 people have died since the outbreak which started last
August, while 47 499 others are suspected to be infected.
The new toll is 270 more than the 2 225 reported by the WHO a week ago,
while the number of people affected soared by 4 824 from 42 675.
The United Nations' humanitarian co-ordination office (OCHA) said last week
in Geneva that preventions measures were not working and that a growing
number of deaths were occurring beyond the reach of health workers in rural
areas. - AFPUNQUOTE
Mugabe is the sort of megalomaniac who will not stop until he is dead. History is littered with this type of monster psycopath. I believe we are attributing to his crimes by not protesting and demanding our governments take action immediately.
Please help, send a message on your email to your local representative in government and help effect change and stop the loss of life and suffering.
cheers and may Mugabe catch the ebola virus and may everyone then abandone him in his grotesque "palace" to rot away.
Any budding scientists out there, place virus here: (see photo following)
Funny isn't it? The uglier the dictator, the more repulsive and grandiose is their taste in décor!

What has been happening in America (Presidential Inauguration) and in Gaza has overshadowed everything else in the world. Pity about that. I haven't read the sites completely but will get to them.
Thank you.

yes big things have been happenng while the innocent and powerless die in Zimbabwe.
This is, of course, true for the Palestinians too, who are the 'meat in the sandwich' between the Israeli forces and the anti-Israel groups.
Let us hope Obama brings something new to the table that will eventuate in peace for all.
cheers
